Each trip to Paris offers our family something new and unforgettable. Whether we’re on a quick 1-day adventure in Paris or enjoying a longer two-week vacation, every visit allows us to explore the city’s beauty, rich history, and amazing food. This past summer, we rounded out our 2-week European road trip by spending a full day in the City of Lights, and we packed in as much as possible!

Although our time in Paris was brief, we made the most of every moment. From iconic landmarks to kid-friendly activities, here’s how we spent our day in Paris with kids, making sure to hit all the must-see attractions. If you’re planning a short visit, check out our 1-day Paris itinerary below and download it for your own trip.

Where to Stay in Paris: Family-Friendly Accommodations

When staying in central Paris, we recommend the Hôtel Résidence Henri IV, located in the vibrant Saint-Germain-des-Prés district. This family-friendly hotel is just steps from Île de la Cité, near the Notre-Dame Cathedral, and within walking distance of major attractions like the Louvre Museum. The hotel is close to Metro lines, making it easy to explore the city, and it’s across the street from a park with a playground, which was a hit with our kids.
